The Canine³ crate explores the dichotomy of a dog’s shelter needs: the need for a cozy and confined den that also connects to the natural world and adapts to varying environmental conditions.
With our unique Sonoran desert climate, daily temperature swings can top 60 degrees in a given day. Mornings can bring frost and a chill in the air, while late afternoon may send people and animals alike scampering for shade from the sweltering heat. Such disparate and fast-changing constraints make it difficult for a single static shelter to adapt to the needs of a dog throughout the day.
By utilizing a rail system, the Canine³ crate can present in both closed and open positions. While in a closed position,
Canine³ provides a safe and secure den space protected from the elements. With the simple push of the hand, the nested boxes slide apart to present in an open configuration, allowing a variety of opportunities to explore, play, climb, or lay in the shade.
