BEST IN SHOW

Canine Cabana
Smyth House | Fitch Builders

The Canine Cabana reimagines the traditional doghouse

as a refined poolside retreat – an intentional extension

of the home. Designed for sunlight Arizona afternoons,

it balances durability, comfort and elevated style.

Inspired by Desert Modernism and luxury cabanas,

the steel structure, designed by Peter Schliefer,

features clean lines, thoughtful proportions,

and custom tailoring in outdoor materials

so beautiful they defy expectations of performance.

Facings of America breeze block provides shade, airflow

and mid-century texture, while a sleek steel frame ensures

resilience in Arizona’s climate. Inside, high performance

Schumacher fabric delivers luxurious, durable lounging –

proving that luxury living extends to

every furry family member.

SECOND PLACE

Canine Casita
Camelot Homes

This custom doghouse reimagines pet living through

a lens of spa-inspired luxury and sustainable design.

Clad in Lunawood for warmth and durability,

the structure incorporates recycled materials sourced from active jobsites and generously donated by valued partners. Thoughtful amenities - including a built-in dog camera,

red light therapy, and integrated dimmable LED lighting -

create a calming, wellness-focused retreat. Architectural

lines and refined materiality mirror Camelot Homes’

design language, transforming a functional pet space into

a design-forward feature that reflects our commitment to

craftsmanship, innovation, and elevated living.

The dog house will also come fully outfitted with curated accessories, including a leash, collar, custom-designed bandanas, dog bowls, an assortment of toys, and an orthopedic dog bed - creating a complete, ready-to-enjoy luxury retreat for its new four-legged resident.

THIRD PLACE

Designed by dog lovers, this elevated kennel

reimagines the doghouse as a sculptural coffee table,

where comfort meets craft. Exposed ribs of 15-ply birch plywood celebrate the warmth & honesty of natural material,

their profiles playfully echoing the crook of a tree branch.

A simple turn of the top gently closes the ribs,

creating a secure, cozy retreat for your fur baby.

On top, a durable concrete-coated surface contrasts

with crisp black accents, balancing softness and strength.

It’s a piece that serves the home beautifully while honoring

the dogs we love and supporting those still waiting for one.

PEOPLE'S CHOICE

Outside The Box
Paradigm Shift

Outside the Box is not a slogan, it is how we operate.

This project reflects our commitment to questioning assumptions and rejecting conventional form.

Outside the Box is a brutalist, minimalist doghouse

conceived as a fixed architectural object suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. The form is defined by a fully-welded stainless steel structure with polished stainless accents, emphasizing mass, proportion and permanence.

A detachable steel water feature platform overflows into a

welded basin, allowing the object to function outdoors or transition indoors without altering its architectural integrity.

A remote-controlled electronic door actuator provides controlled airflow, access and ease of cleaning.

The enclosure is fully insulated & incorporates micro-LED lighting. The interior remains deliberately restrained,

featuring diamond-stitched upholstery.

Outside the Box is not decorative. It stands as architecture

in its purest form: structure & mass resolved

entirely by purpose.
